HeART & SOUL CREATIVITY WORKSHOP

July 12th

Rare Opportunity to Learn with Nancy Strear

“Art, like confidence, never comes from having all the answers. It comes from being open to all the questions.”   Earl Gray Stevens

Draw forth your own gift of creativity.

I invite you to explore process art – a simple and direct way to experience your unique creativity and intuitive wisdom. Each of us has a longing to express ourselves creatively, though we have learned to value only what is perceived as “perfect”.   Suspend your judgment and self doubt, and investigate the mystery of creating in this process art workshop.

Using the simplest materials – white paper and tempera paint – you will find there is no way to go wrong, no misstep, only the unfurling of the richness within you. Process art, like private journal writing, can aid your exploration and understanding of deep personal issues. In doing so, this process can support healing and transform your life. This spontaneous method can also “unblock” your creative flow, help you get rid of your preconceptions about art making, challenge your fears, and help you take risks!  All of this takes place in a supportive, non-judgmental, non-competitive environment.

Quiet encouragement and positive feedback will help you move along your creative path in this one day process art workshop. You need no previous art experience to enjoy this holistic, imaginative method of creating art.  I invite you to come along and play in the fertile fields of your imagination!

This workshop is being taught by Nancy Strear, a professional art educator and former Calgarian.  All art materials (paint, markers, paper, and brushes) will be supplied.  Dress comfortably and casually. Bring a sack lunch and a beverage.
