Do you, like many others, have an interest, activity, or
creative project that keeps getting pushed to the future? It could
be painting, writing, starting a side business, playing music,
sewing, volunteering, carpentry, photography, yoga, dance, etc.
You may feel that you don't have the time, the energy, or you
don't have the internal or external resources. And, yes, all of
these can have a bearing on us, however I think the biggest issue
is often getting started. If we don't take stock in our lives we
can end up doing the same thing day in and day out and this can
leave us feeling quite stagnant.
However, if we prioritize and get started (sit down or show up)
we often find the 'doing' is enjoyable and energizing and
empowering. If, instead, we wait for a surge of energy or some
great inspiration to hit us first, we may wait a long, long time.
But, if we get started right where we are (even if we are feeling
out of sorts) we often find our energy begins to flow. And when we
engage in an activity that hits home for us - time can stop. Life
energy flows. We discover that the energy IS, the inspiration IS
there, the time IS there, and the ability IS there.
So take stock of what ideas/interests/projects/passions have
been collecting dust. And then make a commitment to start with one
of those items. You may find as I have that once you get started a
whole new world opens up. We just don't know how much energy we
have until we tap into it! Don't you owe it to yourself to find
out?

I recently set a few days aside and said: "alright, I'm going
to sit down and see what meditation/Reiki recordings are next for
me." Starting was the hardest part, but once I did I was in the
"zone" and the recordings just flowed without interruption.
